PURPOSE:To provide a laser plate making device having a laser head wherein a depth of focus does not become shallow even if a focus stripe width is made small. CONSTITUTION:In a laser plate making device forming a printing form plate by applying laser beam 5 irradiated through a laser diode 2 to a form plate sheet 20 through a collimeter lens 13 and objective lens 14. an anamorphic prism 15 is arranged between the collimeter lens 13 and objective lens 14 as a beam shaping device deepening a depth of focus of laser beam to be applied to the form plate sheet 20.
