<p>PURPOSE: To prevent air or a cushioning gas from entering into a hydraulic pressure medium, in a damping device having first and second hollow chambers in a casing and metal diaphragms separating the chambers from each other, even if the tightness of the metal diaphragms is impaired, by evacuating the second hollow chamber. CONSTITUTION: In this damping device 7 for a hydraulic system, particularly for a hydraulic brake system, a second hollow chamber 59 is advantageously formed in a small size so that when one of two metal diaphragms 52 or 53 is afflicted with damage and its tightness is impaired, only a relatively small amount of hydraulic pressure medium enters into the second hollow chamber 59. Also, air and gas are limited by evacuation and cease to exist in the second hollow chamber 59, so that pressure pulsations are created in a first hollow chamber 58 to prevent the air and gas from entering into the hollow chamber 58. A damping device 8 can also be constructed in the same fashion as the damping device 7.</p> |
