PURPOSE:To efficiently execute the washing work in a short time in the exchanging of an ink in an ink jet recorder by enhancing the washing effect by a method wherein a water-based washing liquid comprising prescribed weight% of a reducer for decolori zation of a dyestuff ink and prescribed weight% of a water organic solvent of the dyestuff ink is forcibly circulated in an ink passage. CONSTITUTION:A washing method of an ink jet recorder is constituted such that a water-based washing liquid comprising 0.02-20weight% of a reducer for decolorization of a dyestuff ink and 1-50weight% of a water-soluble organic solvent of the dyestuff ink is forcibly circulated in an ink passage. The water-soluble organic solvent is composed of water as a main medium, 0.02-20wieght% of a reducer for decolorization of a dyestuff ink and 1-50weight% of a water-soluble organic solvent. For example of the water-based washing liquid and the method of using the same, a quantity of electric charge-deflection type ink jet recorder is shown as follows. Ink droplets are ejected from a nozzle head 3 and electric charges are applied on the ink droplets by means of an electric charge-applying electrode 31 so that the ink droplets are deflected by an amount in proportion with the quantity of electric charge by means of a deflection electric 32, thereby performing the printing on a cloth. |
