PURPOSE:To improve the light fastness of a color forming material, in a recording material using an electron donating leuco dye and an electron acceptive compd., by adding at least one or more kinds of triarylamine derivative represented by a specific formula. CONSTITUTION:A recording material using an electron donating leuco dye and an electron acceptive compd. contains a triarylamine derivative represented by formula (wherein at least one of Ar1, Ar2 and Ar3 is an aryl group substituted by an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group or a diarylamino group and the remainder of them are a non- substituted aryl group or an aryl group substituted by an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group or an arylthio group). The oxidation potential of the triarylamine derivative is pref. 0.40-0.80V from the aspect of the light fastness of an image and the oxidation resistance of the triarylamine derivative itself. |
