This applies to the overhead transportation of parts to be processed in industry and it requires no bearings and therefore no lubrication, it is easy to wash and to dismantle and is suitable for the food and slaughterhouse industries on account of its highly hygienic characteristics. It is able to slide manually or mechanically in any direction and sense without the need for additional brakes on account of its inherent controlled friction. The slider consists of a discoidal head 1 with an upper axial extension 2 for coupling to the mechanical traction part, and a lower axial extension 3 on which are coupled a disc 4, a tubular bush 5 and a ring 6 which supports the hook 7. The lower surface of the disc 4 rests on rails 9 secured by means of support pieces 10 which are interspersed over its path, which path may include bifurcations at which are added or not added, as appropriate, complementary parts which facilitate the changes of direction. <IMAGE>
