The starting point is a continuous extruded mesh web which makes up identical pouches, rolled up in the form of a spool, the pouches being connected exclusively by upper bands of plastic. Opening of the pouches takes place at a point coinciding with the product-supply means. The sealing of the plastic bands and their cutting in order to obtain the pouch units suitable for marketing are carried out. The pouches are intended for packaging fruit and vegetable produce. <IMAGE>
