PURPOSE:To provide an AV equipment reproducing speed information converting device capable of setting a reproducing speed of various kinds of AV equipments only by an input system defined uniquely. CONSTITUTION:The required speed information 102 obtained by an input means 11 and the control equipment information 104 obtained from a control equipment information storage means 13 are converted to the conventional speed information 105 of an internal information system by a setting speed information conversion means 12. Then, by referring to an incorporated reproducing speed setting system by an each equipment speed setting system storage means 14, a command setting the reproducing speed for realizing the conventional speed information 105 is obtained.
