<p>PURPOSE:To enable the output from a three-phase AC generator driven by an engine torque to be constantly a stable and constant DC output regardless of the number of rotation of the engine. CONSTITUTION:The neutral points of U-, V-, and W-phases of a stator coil winding 1 are extracted and switching elements of S1, S2, and S3 are connected among diode bridge circuits D1-D8 as shown in the figure. Then, the switching element is switched to obtain the output of a three-phase winding at a low speed, the output of a two-phase content at a middle speed, and the output of one phase only at a high speed according to the number of rotations of an engine, thus achieving rectification and smoothing and hence obtaining DC output.</p> |
