The collagen hydrolysate is designed for the parfumery-cosmetic and the pharmaceutical industries, for microbiology and livestock raising. The method includes pregrinding of the leather wastes to preset sizes, washing them in running water to neutral reaction, hydrolysis by 1H acetic acid or 1H sodium base, rough filtration of the hydrolysis across a cloth and filtration across a system of filter-press cloths. There follows concentration and cleaning of the filtred hydrolysate by single-stage ultrafiltration across polymer or ceramic ultrafilters with subsequent conservation and lyophilization. Depending on the conditions of the occurrence of the acid hydrolysis (pH, temperature, time duration, revolution) and the selection of membrane of preset size and pore structure, collagen hydrolysates are produced having different molecular mass, depending on their specific application.
