PURPOSE:To prevent sticking of residual toner to a contact electrifier in an image forming device of a cleaner-less type using the contact electrifier which also makes the residual toner uniform. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device is equipped with: a developing device 23 which attracts and recovers the residual toner on the surface of an electrostatic latent image carrier 20 and forms a toner image by sticking toner to an electrostatic latent image formed by means of a beam of light 21; a transfer device 29 which transfers the toner image, formed by the developing device 23, to transfer paper 30; and the contact electrifier 33 which makes the distribution of the residual toner 22' on the surface of the electrostatic latent image carrier 20 uniform after the transfer by the transfer device 29, and, at the same time, electrifies the surface of the carrier 20. An amount of the electrification of the residual toner is set to a value at which it is held on the side of the electrostatic latent image carrier by a Coulomb force generated between the contact electrifier 33 and the electrostatic latent image carrier 20. |
