PURPOSE:To provide the fixing structure for the 'KevlarR' terminal at an optical cable terminal which is designed to effectively eliminate problems of positional deviation and biasing by the external force acting on the 'KevlarR' terminal part and to caulk a connecting cylinder inserted into an optical connector plug mounting part without applying a stress to a coated fiber by securely clamping the base part of the 'KevlarR' terminal part by the tightening force of a jacket at the terminal of a cable terminal part, expanding the diameter of the 'KevlarR' terminal part than a clamping part to project the part outward to a cylindrical shape and intensifying the 'KevlarR' restraining force in the clamping part. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 5 is press-fitted between the coated fiber 2 of the cable terminal part 1a and the 'KevlarR' 4. A flange part 5b disposed on the sleeve 5 is press- fitted between the coated fiber 2 at the terminal 1b of the cable terminal part and the 'KevlarR' 4. The cable jacket 3 and the 'KevlarR' 4 are expanded in diameter by the press-fitting of the flange part 5b. The 'KevlarR' is clamped between the outer peripheral surface of the flange part and the inner peripheral surface of the jacket by the tightening force of the cable jacket 3 caused by the diameter expansion, by which the 'KevlarR' terminal is projected outward from the clamping part 8 to the cylindrical shape. |
