PURPOSE:To prevent the periphery of liquid crystal from being darkened without increasing the light emission area of back light by forming reflection films inside the space between liquid crystal panels and a flat light source. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal panel 4a for left eye is supported by a liquid crystal supporting member 22a, and the member 22a is attached to an optical system supporting member 21a movably in the direction of an arrow A, and positional relations of the panel 4a to an eyepiece lens 2a can be changed. A liquid crystal panel 4b for right eye is supported by a liquid crystal supporting member 22b, and the member 22b is attached to an optical system supporting member 21b movably in the direction of the arrow A, and positional relations of the panel 4b to an eyepiece lens 2b can be changed. Reflection films 24a and 24b are provided inside the space between liquid crystal panels 4a and 4b and a flat light source 15 to use all of diffused light emitted from the flat light source 15, and the periphery of liquid crystal is prevented from being darkened. |
