<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a lighting assembly convenient for carrying and using, stored in a shell of a cigaret lighter or the like. When a lid of the shell is opened, a resilient portion of the conductor 46 is biased against a front wall 30 of the shell to close the electrical circuit, and to thereby light the lighting assembly. An insulative tip 88 on an end of the resilient portion of the conductor 46 is manually manipulated to remove the conductor 46 from contact with the front wall 30 of the shell to open the electrical circuit and place the lighting assembly in an unlocked off position, An insulative case 88 is engaged with a groove 90 of the insulative case 38 to maintain the open state of the electrical circuit and place the lighting assembly in a locked off position. When a lid 18 is closed, the lid 18 engages the insulative tip 88 to remove the conductor 46 from contact with the front wall 30 of the shell and turn the lighting assembly off.</p> |
