PURPOSE:To obtain the optical transmitting device preventing exposure of a human body to the radiation in advance by decreasing an optical output of a light emitting element when an optical connector is disconnected from an optical module. CONSTITUTION:Since an output signal of a level detection circuit 14 is changed depending on a level of an optical signal received by a 2nd light emitting element 13, a 1st light emitting element drive circuit 2 controls an optical output of a 1st light emitting element 3 to be decreased when an optical connector 16 is disconnected from an optical module 15 (that is, when it is possible that the optical output signal is emitted in air). |
