PURPOSE:To avoid the deterioration in the performances of oxide super conducting wire under the mechanical strain by insulating steps such as normal conductive connection between pancake coils, enamel coating, etc., of superconducting wire etc. CONSTITUTION:Within the manufacturing method of superconducting magnet by winding an oxide superconductor wire together with an insulating tape, assuming the wound and thickness of the superconducting wire respectively to be Ws and T, the width Wt of the insulating tape is specified to exceed Ws+T while the lower superconductor layer wound up and the adjoining superconducting wire are wound up to be coated with the insulating tape for insulating respective superconducting wires. Through these procedures, the insulating steps such as normal conductive connection between pancacake coils and the enamel coating of the superconducting wire can be eliminated thereby enabling high performance magnet to be easily manufactured. |
