A method for obtaining cadmium-free high-dispersion zinc dust, consisting in melting the charge, evaporating zinc, and cooling down the vapours, characterized in that the following substances are used for the charge: secondary refined zinc, cadmium-free secondary zinc, and/or returned secondary zinc containing not below 60% per weight of zinc, whereas aluminium content is at least 0.1% per weight of the charge.
