PURPOSE:To operate a FAX-OCR processor so as to be in time for a transmission closing time to a master device. CONSTITUTION:This FAX-OCR processor is provided with a filing device 35 for filing the image data of a received prescribed document, a character reader 36 for extracting image data from the device 35, and executing recognizing processing, a work station 32 for display the recognized document data and the image data and verifying their coincidence, and a transmission part 33 for transmitting verified document data to the master device 31 having closing time. The processor is also provided with an adjusting part 34 for monitoring the number of unprocessed documents stayed in the processor, predicting the processing time of the unprocessed documents, verifying whether those unprocessed documents can be processed up to the closing time or not, and when the number of unprocessed documents reaches the number to be processed, suppressing the transmission of a transmitting facsimile equipment 37. |
