PURPOSE:To make constant the effect of a weak field regardless of the number of revolutions of a motor by driving the rotation of a motor and at the same time achieving a weak field control of a motor. CONSTITUTION:A phase control circuit 7 for storing phase correction data for correcting the change in phase lag due to the change in the rotational speed of a motor 1 and outputting phase correction data corresponding to the rotational speed of the motor 1 with the output signal of a speed detection means 3 as input is provided and a q-axis addition means 8 and a d-axis addition means 9 for adding phase correction data thetaq and thetad output from the phase control circuit 7 to a digital address signal theta output from an address generation means 5 and then supplying them to a q-axis waveform storage means 10 and a d-axis waveform storage means 11 are provided. Then, q-axis waveform data iaqU and iaqW and d-axis waveform data iadU and iadW of U and W-phase for driving the motor 1 are read from the q-axis waveform storage means 10 and the d-axis waveform storage means 11 according to the rotation of the motor, thus performing pulse width modulation control of the motor 1.
