PURPOSE:To automatically manage the generation of CPUs and program files, etc., by comparing the generation numbers of the respective CPUs and the respective program files with each other and judging the adaptability among processors. CONSTITUTION:An updating processing part 24 copies the contents of a generation number management table (in-use) 22 to the generation number management chart (standby) 23, specifies the position of an updating object and writes data to be newly updated in the management table 22. Whether or not respective devices 1-3 can be correctly operated by the CPUs of the generation number written in the management table 22 is judged by a generation number adaptation deciding part 25. As a result, when it is judged that the updated management table 22 is entirely adaptable among the respective CPUs, the management table 22 is used. Also, when the updated management table 22 is judged as not adaptable in even one of the respective CPUs, information indicating that an updated version is not adaptable is outputted, the standby management table 23 is switched to be in use from the in-use management table 22 and information for managing the generation number in which the devices are correctly operated is attained. Thus, the generation among the respective CPUs of the plural processor system can be easily managed. |
