<p>PURPOSE:To effectively multiplex data when the voice and video data are multiplexed corresponding to the ATM network. CONSTITUTION:A video signal is encoded by a video encoding part 1 and the ATM cell processing is performed by a buffer memory 4 and an AAL processing part 6. In this case, delay information D of the memory 4 is detected by a delay detection part 10 for controlling synthesizing the voice and video on the reception side and the information D is added to the time slot decided by a delay information multiplex part 11. A voice signal is encoded by an encoding part 2 and the ATM cell processing is performed by an AAL processing part 7. The ATM cells are multiplexed by a cell multiplex part 8 by giving the priority on the voice ATM cells. Thus, the voice and video cells are effectively multiplexed and when an idle cell occurs, the part can be used for the other information transmission. Based on the delay information at the transmission side of the video data, the synthesizing control of both data can be performed.</p> |
