<p>Equipment and appts. contaminated with polyester melt is cleaned, whilst set-up, by introducing into the cycle solvents for the melt, pref. starting material and/or intermediates for polyester prodn. during prodn. process, and recycling resultant degradation prods. into process. Method is economical since cleaning does not cause loss of melt and solvent or necessitate plant shutdown.</p> |
