<p>Shaped articles esp. sheets (similar to hardboard or chipboard), comprises mixtures of finely-divided wood (woodflour, sawdust), polyolefins and/or olefin copolymer(s) and have incorporated into them, outside the neutral fibre, woven textiles, reticulate bodies and/or non-woven textiles (fleece) in one or more layers. The polymeric components have modulus of elasticity of >=1.5 x 103 kg./cm2, measured according to DIN 53457. The fibrous reinforcement may be metal fire, glass fibres, natural fibres such as cotton, jute, or synthetic fibres. The products have good flexural strength and rigidity and relatively low apparent density.</p> |
