PURPOSE:To reduce the noise of a low density part in an energy subtraction image and to prevent the generation of artifact. CONSTITUTION:A superposed image signal S0 to be an original image signal is smoothed to obtain a smoothed image signal S0', a weighted average for the signal S0 and a soft part image signal S2 to be a difference signal is executed by increasing the weighting of the signal S0 in accordance with the reduction of image density indicated by the signal S0' relating to each corresponding picture element in each signal for the picture element and a radiation image is reproduced based upon a synthetic image signal obtained by the weighted mean. |
