PURPOSE:To easily enable the setting of a remote control code without reading the instructions by automatically and successively calling a remote control cord and performing a retrieval setting at the time of setting the remote control cord, in a remote control device storing the remote control cord for controlling plural object equipments. CONSTITUTION:For instance, a left below key is defined as a retrieval key. By depressing the retrieval key, a retrieval mode is entered. At this stage, an initial value is substituted for a variable A. The variables correspond to the remote control cords where No. 1 is an A company, No. 2 is a B company and No. 3 is a C company, ..., etc. When a power source key is depressed, the power source cord of the maker set by the variable A is transmitted. If the operation of an equipment is confirmed by a user during a certain waiting time, the state is returned to a standby state by separating a power source key. When the operation of an equipment does not exist, the power source key continues to be depressed and the same work is repeated by the number of the maker registered in a memory by adding numbers one by one to the variable A. Therefore, the hardware of a remote control device remains as in conventional one. |
