PURPOSE:To provide a discharge electrode material by which the discharge current concentration of a discharge electrode and the uniformity of current distribution can be improved by making a dielectric to be a thick film with reduced residual strain and forming an electrode tip having a small curvature. CONSTITUTION:As an example of discharge electrode material, a dielectric material (Diagram shows a glass material) with a thermal expansion coefficient of (8.6-10.6)X10<-6>1/K is coated onto a metallic electrode made of a metallic material with a thermal expansion coefficient of (10.0-12.0)X10<-6>1/K and bonded as a dielectric therewith. Such a structure can improve the impact strength and make the film thickness of the dielectric thick. Further, by making the dielectric material to have a dielectric rate of 7.0-9.0, a thick film enough to produce a dielectric can be formed, resulting in excellent discharge status. In addition, the metallic material includes 16-20wt.% Cr therein so as to improve the uniformity of current distribution. |
