PURPOSE:To obtain a lithium secondary battery having excellent high temperature performance, storage performance, rate characteristic and cycle lifetime by improving nonaqueous electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A lithium secondary battery is provided with a positive electrode 4, a negative electrode 6, which includes lithium metal and carbonaceous material, which stores and emits lithium ion, and chalcogen compound or light metal, and nonaqueous electrolyte. The nonaqueous electrolyte has the composition that 0.1-3mole/l of imide group lithium salt expressed with a formula Li(CnX2n+1 Y)2N (X means halogen, n means integral number in a range of l-4, and Y means CO group or SO2, group) is dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent, obtained by mixing at least one kind of solvent selected among ethylenecarbonate and propylenecarbonate at 10-80volume % and at least one kind solvent selected among diethoxyethane, chain carbonate and acenitryl at 20-90volume %. |
