PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of satisfactory cleaning even when an amount of untransfer toner on a photoreceptor is increased. CONSTITUTION:In the image forming device, the amount (thickness) R of the toner remaining on a photosensitive drum 10 after the transfer of a toner image T on transfer paper P is detected, and the intensity of destaticizing charges and an amount of the change of a DC element, which correspond to the detected amount of the residual toner, are selected, and a destaticizing device 27 is energized. Thus, even when the amount of the residual toner is increased, the proper destaticizing charges are provided and cleaning efficiency is prevented from decreasing. |
