PURPOSE:To relieve the load of a job of a shop clerk, to reduce the space of a shop and to promote the rental job. CONSTITUTION:A front cover of a package of a video image * music software or the like is received as image data by a scanner 6 and the image data are stored in a database 2 while being related to work name data or the like. Then a customer operates freely a monitor 9 and a key board 10 or the like to retrieve the database 2 thereby selecting a desired video image * music software. When the system is connected to a user terminal equipment 12 at the outside of a shop, the rental processing of the video image * music software is executed in on-line. Furthermore, the system is connected to other system 13 such as an existing basic system to integrate the system with an overall management including the management of the rental processing of the video image * music software. |
