PURPOSE:To provide a three-dimensional shape data deformation method by which deformation obtained by combining whole deformation and local deformation can be executed in real time and an animation generation method by which an animation can easily be generated through the use of the three-dimensional shape data deformation processing method. CONSTITUTION:At least more than two sets of whole deformation data showing the shift quantity of respective points constituting the three-dimensional shape on a three-dimensional space are inputted. Then, at least more than two sets of local deformation data showing the shift quantity of the respective points on a two-dimensional parameter space obtained by developing the three- dimensional shape into a two-dimension are inputted. Plural sets of whole deformation data and plural sets of local deformation data are combined, plural sets of composite deformation data are generated and the weighted average of plural sets of composite deformation data is calculated. Thus, deformed three-dimensional shape data is obtained. Consequently, deformation obtained by combining whole deformation and local deformation can be executed in real time. |
