A handle for a digging tool has a handgrip and a support member for supporting the handgrip. At least part of the handgrip is pivotable with respect to the support member. This reduces blistering of the user's hands, fatigue, and injury to the user's muscles, ligaments or tendons, particularly those associated with the wrist.
