In the production of shaped bodies (12) by vibrating compaction, it is known to mount the vibrating table (1) on spring elements (7, 7') which are designed in the form of rubber pads and are filled with a fluid under pressure and whose spring constant can be varied by changing the fluid pressure. In order to keep the change in spacing of the vibrating table (1) from its foundation (10) constant as far as possible, said change in spacing normally resulting when the spring constant is changed, it is proposed according to the invention to mount the vibrating table (1) on the spring elements (7, 7') via bearing elements (11, 11') and to arrange further spring elements (6, 6') above the bearing elements (11, 11'), such that the bearing elements (11, 11') are braced in each case between at least two spring elements (6, 7 or 6', 7'). <IMAGE>
