The connection fitting (1) comprises a housing-like upper part (2) and a housing-like lower part (3), which are connected to one another by a vertical pipe (4). Annular beads (12, 13) are formed on the circumference of the vertical pipe (4) at the end by means of compression (upsetting). These annular beads (12, 13) come into contact with welding contact regions on the upper part (2) and on the lower part (3), doing so at least in the form of a line. The welding contact regions extend in a plane which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (17) of the vertical pipe (4). In this way, the upper part (2), vertical pipe (4) and lower part (3) can be joined to one another exactly by means of electric resistance welding at the final spacing (EA) of the central axis (26) of the upper part (2) counter to the central axis (27) of the lower part (3). <IMAGE>
