Road holding inclination indicator for motor vehicles, comprising an outer housing, installable in the area of the dashboard of the motor vehicle, in which housing an inner housing is supported, capable of uniaxial or biaxial rotation with very little friction, which is constantly held precisely in the vertical measuring-display position irrespective of the instantaneous angle of inclination in the direction of travel and/or transversely to the direction of travel of the vehicle owing to the road condition in the direction of travel or longitudinal direction, and indicates the vehicle position transversely to the direction of travel and in which a weighting pendulum is deflected under the action of the gravitational and centrifugal force, to which the vehicle is exposed, especially when cornering.
