A sheet-metal closure cap for a bottle, container or the like, having a seal arranged in the base for contact against an end face of a neck of the bottle, and having an essentially cylindrical part with an internal thread or with inwardly protruding projections for engaging axially behind an external thread or outer projections on the bottle neck. Serving to ensure tamper indication is a projection which projects inwards from the cylindrical part of the closure cap and rests in the unscrewing direction against a projection, protruding out of the outer wall of the bottle neck, and is visibly deformed during the first unscrewing of the closure cap. The guarantee of tamper indication is simple and has the advantage that, when the material of the closure cap is recycled, nothing is lost and the recycling of the bottle or container is not impaired. <IMAGE>
