The solenoid valve according to the invention has a magnet housing (10) to accommodate the magnet coil (14) and the magnet core (18) and is embedded in a plastic body (23). This plastic body (23) has an encircling rim (30) which projects beyond the magnet housing (10) and delimits a space (31) intended to accommodate the connecting flange (32) of a valve connection part (33). The connecting flange (32) and the encircling rim (30) of the magnet housing (10) are connected to one another at their mutually facing circumferential surfaces, for example by ultrasonic welding. This makes it possible to join the two parts in a simple and economical manner without the need to bend parts of the magnet housing (10).
