Intraprostatic catheter for insertion into the prostatic urethra

The invention relates to an intraprostatic catheter for insertion into the prostatic urethra between bladder and sphincter for the purpose of restoring the patency of the prostatic urethra. It is made from a spring wire of helical configuration and has a tightly wound body part which has a length corresponding approximately to the prostatic urethra and in which sections are formed which taper conically in the direction of the sphincter and form steps which act as hooks on the outside of the body part and which prevent the migration of the catheter in the direction of the bladder. The catheter moreover comprises a head part which protrudes into the bladder and whose windings are spaced apart from one another.
