Anhydrous detergent mixtures consisting of a) C16/18-alkyl sulphates, b) C12/14-alkyl sulphates, c) hydrophobic structure breakers and, where appropriate, polymeric solidifying agents, which contain components a) and b) in the ratio 90:10 to 70:30 by weight, show an improved solubility in water. They can be mixed with other detergent ingredients in powder form ("tower powders") and be processed, for example, to solid, readily soluble detergent extrudates.
