The nut-blank 1, Fig. 14, is pressed with an end projection 2 and is then tapped. A rolling operation follows, Fig. 6, which flattens the projection 2 and modifies the end threads, Fig. 5. The rolls 6, 7 are driven by sprockets, roll 7 being pressed hydraulically towards roll 6. |
