The invention relates to a closure for the opening of a pipe into a collector, the closure comprising a packer which is to be arranged in the pipe and consists of an inflatable, elastically expansible packer skin. In order to achieve stationary fitting of the packer with a fully sealed closure of the mouth, it is provided to fasten the packer skin on a cover-like carrier, of which the external diameter is greater than the internal diameter of the pipe to be closed. An outer supporting ring is formed on the carrier and, furthermore, provided in the carrier is an aperture which opens into the packer and is intended for the feed and discharge of air.
