Blind rivet nut

A blind rivet nut (1) comprises a rivet sleeve (4, 6) and a flange (3). An internal thread (5) extends over a sub-region (4) of the rivet sleeve as far as a compression zone (6) which, when the blind rivet nut (1) is fitted, widens such that a first plate-like region (11) of a component (13) is clamped in by the flange (3) and the widened portion (15). For improved mounting of the blind rivet nut (1) in conjunction with a second palte-like region (12), arranged at a distance from the first (11), of the same or of another component, the blind rivet nut (1), according to the invention, exhibits, at its end directed away from the flange (3), a shoulder (7) which extends over the outer circumference and is intended for receiving the second plate-like region (12), which can be fastened on the blind rivet nut (1) by means of a cap screw (14) assigned to the internal thread (5). <IMAGE>
