A vehicle-door locking device 1 has a basic element for fastening to the vehicle door, a pawl mechanism 3 mounted on the basic element, in order to come into and out of engagement with the body, an opening lever 62 which is mounted on the basic element and which actuates the pawl mechanism 3 via a connecting element, a locking lever 63 which is mounted on the basic element and which actuates the connecting element in such a way that the opening lever 62 and the pawl mechanism 3 are coupled and uncoupled, a protective cover 5 which is fastened to the basic element and which covers the locking lever 63 and the connecting element and has an orifice 52, a secondary opening lever 65 which is mounted on the basic element, connected to the opening lever 62 by means of the orifice 52, in such a way that the secondary opening lever 65 is placed outside the protective cover 5, and a connection portion 65a for connection to an actuating element which is placed on the outside of the vehicle and which is arranged on the secondary opening lever 62 in such a way that the latter is spaced from the orifice 52.
