The component is especially designed to provide sealing and trimming on the B-pillar of a motor vehicle, and has a rigid base strip (2) whose underside is fitted to a mounting surface (14) on the vehicle. The strip can be made from a synthetic material, and is retained by fastening studs (12). The component also has a flexible, hollow, sealing moulding (26), which can rest in at least one door joint (34,35), and which is supported in a rigid frame (18) which is made from a synthetic material. The frame is made with the moulding in one operation, using a two-component injection moulding process, and is connected to the base strip. |
