Method of controlling and/or safeguarding the quality of the compaction of moulding masses to be shaped and compacted in moulding boxes under the action of compacting impacts. The quality evaluation is based on the knowledge that the quality achieved during a sample compacting operation under quite specific process conditions is achieved with good reproducibility, even with repeated compacting operations, when the quite specific process conditions of the sample compacting are fixed (see Fig. 1a) and are reproduced during the repeated compacting with only minor permitted deviations. Accurate observance of the specific process conditions can be guaranteed especially by regulating the quantities concerned. Application preferably in brick-moulding machines.
