The invention is to provide a cost-effective motor vehicle door of modular construction which a single supplier can supply to a motor-vehicle final assembly plant as a completely prefitted body shell door. In the motor vehicle door (10) according to the invention, an integral window frame (14) extends from the lower, front corner region as far as the lower, rear corner region of the door inner shell so that the glass pane is fully guided therein. Attached directly to the window frame (14) are deflecting elements (18, 20) in order to deflect the cable (22) of a Bowden-cable window lifter. The drive (23) of this is fitted to a reinforcing panel (24) which is riveted directly to the inner shell (11). The motor vehicle door according to the invention is designed for passenger cars.
