PURPOSE:To simplify the calculation of a gray level for an output picture in a processing system for magnifying/reducing an input picture to an image processor. CONSTITUTION:This image magnifying/reducing system is constituted of an input picture storing means 1 for storing an input picture, a processing area storing means 2 for storing a working area prepared for executing image magnifying and dividing processing, an input picture magnifying means 3 for magnifying a stored picture pattern to integer times, an image dividing means 4 for dividing the magnified picture into plural rectangular blocks, an average value calculating means 5 for calculating the density average of each divided block and outputting the level of an output image, and an image reconstituting means 6 for reconstituting and outputting each calculate average value as an output image. |
