PURPOSE:To realize the reception sensitivity of a luminous quantity suitable for temperature, power supply voltage, powder dust, and distance between light receiving elements by informing it to one board when a light receiving level of other board is optimum and setting a light emitting level of the one board and a light emitting level of the other board to be proper. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1-1 of a main board increases gradually the current of a light emitting element 1-2. When the CPU 1-1 detects a light receiving current of a light receiving element 1-3, the CPU 1-1 stores a current P flowing to the light emitting element 1-2 to stop light emission. Then a CPU 2-1 of a sub board stops the light emission of a light emitting element 2-2. Then the light emitting quantity of the light emitting element 1-2 is decided. On the other hand, the CPU 1-1 of the main board stops the light emitting element 1-2 when an input to a light emitting element 1-3 reaches an optimum value. Moreover, the CPU 2-1 stores a light emitting current Q of the light emitting element 2-2 when the light emission of the main board is stopped. Thus, the setting of the optimum current of each light emitting element of the main board and the sub board is finished. |
