In order to make it possible to split and divide relatively large bones in particular of the carcasses of the slaughtered animals in a smooth and splinter-free fashion, the front cutting point (4) arranged in the cutting direction is higher than the rear cutting point (5) which is arranged in the direction opposite the cutting direction, a second concave cutting region (6) being connected between two cutting points (7, 8) to the first concave cutting region (3) in the direction opposite to the cutting direction, the front cutting point (7) of these two cutting points (7, 8) being higher than the rear cutting point (5) of the first cutting region (3). <IMAGE>
