The invention concerns personal self-contained ionizer of air for 24 hour continuous operation which is intended for the relief to people suffering with so-called civilization diseases. To achieve the reliable operation and light-weight of the device the high voltage supply for the emitter of ions is improved to have low energy consumption of energy from the accumulator battery. The ionizer is provided with the lace for carrying it on the neck of the user, the lace being at the same time a part of outer electric circuit. It consists of two parts, one electrostatically and one electrically conductive which may be mechanically separated and cleaned without change of electric properties. This lace enables the night charging of the accumulator at the bed of the user, the device issuing at the same time the ions. Personal ionizer is further provided with a system for the control of quantity of emitted ions, consisting of plates changing the area of the output window, as needed for some cases, mostly in prevention.
