A linear type light source illuminating system comprising a source of light rays, an emission reflecting duct to propagate said light rays, wherein said light ray emitting and propagating duct comprises a set of mutually coupled modular units (2), each of said modular units comprises two support side brackets (3), a first reflecting optical assembly (4) having at least a slit (5) for emitting light rays; first tubular means (8) for attachment to the tunnel wall, second tubular means (7) for alignment of said support brackets (3); third tubular means (7) for coupling and clamping said support brackets (3) coverage means (9) having at least a transparent portion corresponding to said light ray emitting slit (5), a second optical reflecting assembly (6) which is longitudinally extended and attached to said support brackets (3); fastening means (16) for said second longitudinally extending optical assembly (6), resilient means (10) for holding said support side brackets (3) and said coverage means (9).
