PURPOSE:To enhance the use efficiency of ink by holding the interior of an ink container to a specific negative pressure and simplifying the constitution of the ink container. CONSTITUTION:Each of recording heads 1 and an ink container 3 are connected by a supply means and, when the ink container 3 is mounted on an ink jet recording apparatus, a valve means 9 becomes a closed state and the ink container is hermetically closed. When ink is consumed accompanied by recording, the negative pressure in the ink container 3 increases. When the number of recording heads reaching preset negative pressure is counted, the valve means is opened. |
